1. Technology categories
- Necessary: Required for language, security, sign-in, billing, and core functionality such as continuing a product flow you explicitly asked to use.
- Functional: Reserved for optional convenience features. This category stays off by default unless you explicitly enable it.
- Analytics: First-party measurement of page views, campaign attribution, funnels, and performance telemetry. This category is off by default and only activates after consent.
2. Storage currently used on Sleptly
- NEXT_LOCALE cookie: Category: necessary. Purpose: remembers your language across public and signed-in pages. Duration: up to 12 months.
- sleptly_tz cookie: Category: necessary. Purpose: keeps date boundaries aligned to your local timezone so check-ins, reports, and history are shown correctly. Duration: up to 12 months.
- Consent status: Category: necessary. Keys: sleptly_cookie_consent and sleptly_cookie_consent_v1. Purpose: stores your current cookie choices, policy version, and the timestamp of your decision. Duration: up to 6 months.
- Appearance and product preference storage: Category: necessary. Keys may include theme plus product continuity keys such as sleptly_page_guide_seen_*, sleptly_first_week_flow_*, sleptly_seen_welcome_* and similar Sleptly preference values. Purpose: remembers interface states you triggered and avoids repeating the same product interruptions. Duration: until you clear them or your browser storage is removed.
- Onboarding and checkout continuity: Category: necessary. Keys include sleptly_onboarding_quiz_v2, older quiz recovery keys, and sleptly_onboarding_checkout_v1. Purpose: keeps your quiz and checkout progress together after you explicitly start that flow. Duration: until completion, reset, or browser deletion.
- Public support chat storage: Category: necessary after use. Keys include the HttpOnly cookie sleptly_public_support_visitor plus local storage keys sleptly_public_support_visitor_id_v1 and sleptly_public_support_chat_v1. Purpose: keeps a support conversation together on the device you used. This storage only starts after you open or use chat. Duration: up to 12 months or until browser data is cleared.
- Analytics session storage: Category: analytics. Key: sleptly_analytics_session_v1. Purpose: links first-party events such as page views, CTA clicks, quiz starts, checkout funnels, and performance metrics inside a rolling session. Duration: rolling 30-minute inactivity window before a new session is created.
3. Managing your choices
You can change or withdraw non-essential categories at any time from the “Cookie settings” entry in the footer or from your account settings.
If you reject analytics, or withdraw consent later, Sleptly stops sending new analytics events and clears its own non-essential analytics storage on that device.
